Tower Colliery closed in 2008 but it will go down in Industrial History as one of the successes of management buyouts in the twentieth century, where workers overcame management ineficiencies to manage a profitable coal mine, only to be beaten by geological faults. I salute them all and thank them for allowing me the privilege of photographing during the during the run in to closer.
